Día de los Muertos

This video is a great way to introduce Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) to young students in Spanish! Teach your students about "El Día de Muertos" using High Frequency Structures like: "Se celebra" "Lleva..." "La gente decora..." "Para recordar" "Para celebrar" "Fotos" "flores" "velas" "comida" "calaveras".  Make sure to pause the video at certain parts and ask students questions like ¿En qué mes se celebra el Día de Muertos? ¿Dónde se celebra el Día de Muertos? ¿Qué lleva la gente al cementerio? ¿Qué decoran? ¿Con qué decoran los altares? Take the opportunity to ask personalized questions like ¿Tu celebras el Día de Muertos? ¿Has decorado alguna vez un altar? Etc...
